The amendments were presented at a meeting of the State Duma IT Committee by Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media Sergei Kuchushev. The inclusion of monitoring in the amendments requires additional justification, and the introduction of the norm of assigning a category of significance to a critical information infrastructure facility is inappropriate, the deputy said, adding that the final text of the amendments to the law should clarify whether its provision applies to all critical information infrastructure facilities or only to those recognized as significant.
