Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) is a measure of the total cost of acquiring, implementing, using, and maintaining an information system or software product over its entire life cycle. TCO includes all direct and indirect costs associated with an IT solution and is an important tool for assessing the effectiveness of technology investments.
