Have they lost their nerve? Do they not want to discuss a billion-dollar merger that has not yet been approved by the Weko?
The merger has advantages and disadvantages. great as hoped. Switzerland is and will remain a complicated, small and multilingual market, whether for Sunrise alone or with UPC customers on board. Competition with Swisscom will remain distorted, as the company is still controlled by the federal government. If Swisscom were finally myanmar rcs data released into freedom, a Sunrise deal would also make more sense. Then they would be on an equal footing.
Excluding the largest shareholder now is – to put it nicely – not diplomatic. But Sunrise's hands are tied: the UPC bosses are American deal makers. The motto is clear: this is how it works, or it doesn't.
But you shouldn't underestimate a manager like Christoph Vilanek - and certainly not the company. Freenet hasn't always had a good hand, but sales are more than three billion euros and the group has 4,100 employees. The chairman of the board of directors is Professor Dr. Helmut Thoma, no lightweight in any respect.
The merger is not particularly relevant for consumers. It will probably not get better, nor will it get cheaper. This is about the ideal deal possible for the investors, for UPC and Sunrise.
