Plus it’s Friday, so there’s that

First of all, if any of you stopped by CET last night and saw a post on here about being “healthy” and are now wondering what happened to it, I had to take it down. It was a personal story about one of my friend’s dads who is battling colon cancer, and although he was touched by the story and was super appreciative of the post, for personal reasons they asked me to remove it (it was kind of an unforeseen issue that deals with insurance, paperwork, yada yada yada). Anyway, if you saw the post and were wondering what happened to it, now you know! Our hope is that as soon as some of those issues get resolved I will be able to share it with you again.
Moving on!
Today has been a fantastic day for me. This morning I took some time to meet with a mentor of sorts who gave me some great advice on my future career and grad school decisions. She is a brilliant woman who used to be the CEO of a company I would LOVE to work for someday, and talking to her was so inspiring. She gave me a great list contacts and suggested next steps, and even gave me a hug at the end of our meeting saying that I was, “like family.” Squeeeee!! I am now feeling super excited about my next steps in life and the direction I want to go in, which feels just great!

My coworker Claire is such a sweetie and brought me back this (half) cookie from dataset New York last weekend. She was out of the office on Monday, and I helped her out by doing some of her work for her while she was away. To thank me she brought me this delicious buttery sprinkle cookie, which I loved! She is going to California in a few weeks and promised to bring me back and even better one from Katella Deli. She is too sweet! (So is the cookie!)

Please note Jack’s favorite toy, Coco, is in the bottom right with his tuft of white hair, and Fabio’s PJs (the blue t-shirt) are under Jack’s head as well. Whenever he is really sleepy he sleeps with his tongue out.
