Last Friday, May 19, the Havas Village headquarters in Madrid celebrated the first edition of " Code & Tech 4Kids" , Havas Group's commitment to bringing new technologies and the latest in communication to children.
Which the children of the group's employees, aged between 7 and 16, participate. In the different sessions that make up the program, children will learn the latest in technology and tools, such as 3D printing, robotics, coding, virtual reality, game design, and app creation, among other topics.
Aware of the upcoming changes in the workplace and society , the aim of the Havas Group with this initiative is to carry out educational work, teaching future generations in this country about the impact of new technologies on society.
"Code & Tech 4Kids" was created by Havas Group with the aim of fostering in children the creative and creative spirit, dreamers and thinkers, showing the latest in technology to the youngest in an educational and playful way. In this way, we bring the future of communication closer to those who will be the future professionals of our country," says Ana de Castro, Dircom of Havas Group Spain.
Robotics, a new field that is now key to the professional future, was the subject of the day with which Havas Group, in collaboration with LEGO, launched the project. Through gamified learning, a series of workshops were held with the help of LEGO Education as a technological partner, where children learned the basics of programming and robotics, while playing and having fun with their parents.
“Robotics and artificial intelligence are the keys to the so-called fourth industrial brazil phone number revolution, which is set to change society as we know it. In the future, many jobs will disappear and give way to many new ones that we cannot even imagine. Being prepared for this future is one of the keys to the society of the future, and the responsibility of both companies and governments is to facilitate this transition to create a sustainable world of work,” explains Luis Moreno Ortí, Head of Innovation at Havas Media Group.
Considering that many young people will work in jobs that do not yet exist today, it is vital to train in these new areas, robotics being one of them. Children's learning capacity in these technologies will determine the way in which they will relate to the new society, in which robotics will play a fundamental role. "In the future, we will interact with software and hardware as if they were another worker and it is critical to train in these new environments," says José Gutiérrez Cuéllar, Global Head of Client Technology at Havas Media Group.
In addition, this project has a social aspect , through collaboration with the ONCE Foundation, which through its program of access to new technologies for disabled people promotes training and employment. A clear example of how new technologies and accessibility help inclusion.
With “Code & Tech 4Kids”, Havas Group aims to create a global programme for sharing learning and initiatives. A project that demonstrates the company’s commitment to the education and training of new generations, activating this type of projects and initiatives with a firm eye on the near future.
