To start, you need to make sure that you have the option to keep chats archived activated. If not, to activate it you just have to follow these steps: click on the three dots at the top right , go to Settings , enter the Chats section and make sure that the option “Keep chats archived” is activated .

How to archive chats
In the Chats section, select the contact or group you want to archive. You can select multiple chats by holding down their name until a green check mark appears next to them . Once selected, click the Archive button (a folder with an arrow).
When you click on the icon, you will see a notice indicating that they have been archived . There will also be a link at the top to see which conversations have been archived at any time.

How to disable archived conversations
When you return from vacation, you will need to read your messages again. To do this, you need to tap on the same access from which you access archived chats. Press and hold the conversations you want to “ unarchive ” and tap the box button again , which this time will have an arrow pointing up.
