From my perspective, the right choice and setup of account goals is probably the most important thing in Facebook campaigns. And at the same time, the thing that most often causes difficulties for recipients.
Now that you know how important it is to choose the right advertising goal, it's worth adding that not all of them are equally effective. There are better and worse goals, more or less popular. Today, however, I would like to recommend 4 goals that are most often used in the context of e-commerce promotion.
1. Catalog sales
The first advertising goal that I highly recommend to you is catalog sales. If I had to point out one advertising goal that you should start your adventure with promoting an online store on Facebook with and at the same time one that gives you the most unique possibilities in terms of targeting ads to specific recipients, this would be my first choice.
Catalog sales are not only the most commonly used advertising goal. They also have the canada rcs data greatest potential for scaling and are a universal solution for online stores. At the same time, they are probably the most popular type of advertising on Facebook and Instagram.
Why?
As I mentioned in the ad set, at the level of selecting the target group, a certain flagship set of options is usually used, such as:
user location,
age,
sex,
interests.
All of these options are available in the context of selling from a catalog, but there are also a few (let's call them) semi-automatic options.
What does this mean?
Because catalog sales are a goal that connects to your online store database, your product catalog, in a similar way to Google Merchant Center ads, or Google Shopping. The ones that usually appear as image tiles when you type the name of a product directly into Google search. These are the ads that most often use the so-called carousel format on Facebook, which are rectangles that you can scroll left or right.
