DLSS 3.5 vs. FSR 3 Benchmark Results for GeForce RTX 4060 and Radeon RX 7600

Post by Rina7RS »

In Cyberpunk 2077 at 1080p ray tracing medium graphics preset, the Radeon RX 7600 starts at 34 fps at native resolution no upscaling and increases by about 79% to 61 fps with FSR in Balanced mode . Enabling frame generation increases the frame rate to 112, more than triple the initial performance I got without FSR. The GeForce RTX 4060 goes from 42 fps when rendering at native resolution to 69 fps with DLSS rendering in Balanced mode a 64% increase, and then to 113 fps with frame generation enabled. The end result is that the GeForce RTX 4060 is 13% faster than the Radeon RX 7600 when using scaling DLSS vs. FSR, but only 1% faster when frame generation is also enabled. At 1440p and 4K, the cards see low average frame rates even when upscaling, although there is some percentage gain. Still, I'd say the game is unplayable under these conditions unless you lower the graphics quality.

Cyberpunk 2077 Comparison: DLSS vs FSR

I then moved on to The First Descendant , a game I decided to india mobile database test using its High graphics with the Medium quality ray tracing preset. At 1080p, the Radeon RX 7600 delivered 43 fps at the normal resolution, and increased by almost 50% to 63 fps with the Balanced FSR increase. Enabling frame generation didn’t increase the frame rate in this title. In fact, it’s a small drop compared to using FSR scaling alone, which shows how frame generation algorithms can sometimes limit the real-world benefit if the base frame rate is already low. In fact, it’s often better to turn off frame generation unless your system can consistently maintain around 60 fps or higher. The GeForce RTX 4060 started slightly higher, hitting 51 fps right off the bat, without DLSS enabled. As such, its results were also better, ultimately reaching 114 fps with DLSS plus frame generation, a 124% increase over the baseline figure. As in Cyberpunk 2077 , at 1440p and 4K resolutions, both cards saw some improvements when DLSS or FSR were enabled, with the GeForce RTX 4060 proving particularly fast with a combination of DLSS and frame generation.
