After a few days, I felt the need to replace the titanium strap with a blue EasyFit 3 22mm strap made of silicone. After a few more days, I swapped the two straps depending on my needs: I used the titanium strap if I was going to an event or an important business meeting where I wanted to look my best. Then I switched to the silicone strap when wearing the watch at home or during a workout for maximum comfort. You can do the same.
According to the official specs, the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Pro 46mm battery should last around 9 days with normal use and up to 14 days with lighter use. I wore this watch day and night to track several outdoor walks, two sweden telegram data Pilates classes, two outdoor runs, and a hike. During that time, its battery lasted exactly nine days. I’m glad to see that the company provides realistic battery life estimates for its devices. I haven’t tested the 42mm version of the WATCH GT 5 Pro, but the company claims that it should last around five days with normal use and up to seven days with light use. As for charging, if you use a HUAWEI smartphone charger, you can fully charge this watch in sixty minutes. I didn’t have a HUAWEI charger with me, so I connected the charging stand to a PC and it took 114 minutes to charge the battery from 0% to 100%. In thirty minutes it charged from 0% to 36%.
Charging HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Pro
The three standout features that I appreciate about the HUAWEI WATCH GT 5 Pro are the quality of the materials used to build the device, its beautiful design, and its good battery life. However, at launch, its smartwatch experience is not much better than its predecessors in the WATCH GT 4 series. This is because HUAWEI has copied Apple’s strategy and is promising iPhone users features that don’t exist yet and will arrive at an unknown time via firmware updates. I wish HUAWEI had done a better job of developing all the features and making them available to everyone on day one of its product launch.
