Clash of the Titans: Alza vs. Heureka

Post by suchona.kani.z »

Alza is the largest Czech e-shop, Heureka the largest Czech price comparison site. Last week, all Czech media published the shocking news that Alza was ending its presence on Heureka. Speculations of all kinds immediately began to spread: that this decision would cost Alza billions, that it was the beginning of the end of the Heureka portal, and many others. The truth is that it will not be that dramatic. Let's take a step back and look at Alza's reasons.

Why did Alza declare war on Heureka?
Alza declared that she would withdraw her products from Heureka. She is calling on other e-shops to take the same step on the BezHeureky.cz website. So far, however, no e-shops are rushing to leave Heureka. Read why Alza left and why we think it is not important.

Heureka is no longer objective (it was bought by the large e-commerce company Rockaway)

What does AITOM have to say: On Heureka, the most important cash app database content is created primarily by users, in the form of store ratings and product reviews. Let's face it, everyone has come to Heureka at some point just to read whether they have chosen the right product model. A change in the owner of Heureka will not change this in any way. If Rockaway wanted to interfere with the content, users would rebel.

You buy leading positions at Heureka

What does AITOM say : Yes, that's true, just like on Google, you pay on Heureka via PPC. Users are used to it. They always follow the offers of several stores anyway. After all, they go to Heureka looking for the best price, not the first position.

Furthermore, PPC is just one of many factors, but even the highest bidding will not help you get to the TOP positions.
