To make things clear from the outset and make things easier: landing page (LP), literally translated, means “landing page” or “destination page”. And, in fact, they do exactly that: from an advertisement or publication, they take a user to a specific page on the web.

Landing pages work with the objective of qualifying leads from a specific action, and are very different from a home page or website due to their purpose.

If you are not familiar with the concept of a landing page, you may be wondering: doesn't your company's website also generate leads? So what is the difference between a landing page and your website's home page?

You see, a website also has other purposes, such as student data providing information about the company and its products, offering a space for contact, among many other possibilities.

A landing page, on the other hand, is something quite different. It is a digital marketing tool that works towards a specific objective, aligned with defined strategies. It will always have a Call to Action (CTA), that is, a call to action, which can be: subscribing to a channel, making a purchase, registering, among many other things that we consider as “conversion” and this is what shows us whether the lead is qualified (a person with a high chance of becoming a customer), for example.

On a landing page, you negotiate with your potential customer, provide a special offer or provide information. For example, many companies offer rich material such as an e-book, infographic, a free class, among others, if the visitor fills out their contact information on a form.

A company does not need to have just one landing page and it is likely that a company will even need several of them, always in accordance with the strategy x objectives.

WHY USE LANDING PAGES?
Because it is an effective tool for qualifying leads, it is important for subsequent digital marketing actions. From a conversion, we can create more direct communication with these opportunities generated in an LP.

Another advantage of using LPs is that they directly support your goals, enabling you to achieve targets, promote new products and even reach new markets. Check out some of the functions of landing pages below:

Increase conversions
As we said before, landing pages are focused on a CTA, that is, on encouraging the lead to take a specific action. This means that it will be easier to identify people who have a high chance of becoming customers and thus the following sales actions will generate more business opportunities and consequently an increase in sales.

Helping in data-driven decision making
Making data-driven decisions is one of the great secrets to avoiding errors, reducing costs and increasing the efficiency of actions. Therefore, through LPs it is possible to generate data that can be used to monitor your customer's behavior, and thus have valuable insights to generate more assertive offers.

Grow your contact list
Anyone who works with email marketing knows that segmented lists offer much better results, precisely because contacting people who are already inclined to consume what you offer is better than spending time, energy and resources where you shouldn't.

Landing pages are widely used to generate qualified leads, increasing your email list and significantly improving campaign performance.

Ultimately, LPs are digital results tools!

When developing your LP, talk to someone who understands the subject.
