If you use Hello Bar pop-ups on your website, you are automatically also using Hello Bar to collect performance data for each pop-up – our system tracks every piece of information we have so we can give you real-time feedback on the performance of your pop-ups. (Don’t worry, your information is safe with us !).
In practice, this really looks like continuously tracking how many impressions each of your pop-ups receives, along with how many actions are taken in response to it – for example, someone submits their email address, clicks through to the URL destination, or takes action on social media.
When you combine these data points to see how many visitors took an action with the pop-up out of the total number of people who viewed the pop-up, you can arrive at your pop-up's conversion rate.
Examining your popup conversion rate is a great place to start when it comes to using data to make decisions. Ultimately, you can measure the success of your popup by checking this number.
Conversion rates can vary in general, but when it comes to pop-ups, a conversion rate between 2 to 3 percent is considered a very healthy conversion rate.
You can easily find out the conversion rate of your custom pop-up by going to the Administration tab from your line database Hello Bar dashboard. It will look something like this:

How to access Hello Bar analysis
With our full analytics tracking in the Analyze tab of your Hello Bar dashboard, you can better track your pop-up performance over time. With our latest update, you can now sort your data by time period – whether it’s by week, month, or custom timeframe, you can view your analytics in the way that makes the most sense to you.
