Also note that similar parameters from the Google Ads (formerly Adwords) advertising system do not appear in the report. You will not find URLs like “?utm_source” or “?gclid” there, as Google Analytics can remove them itself.
You can remove unwanted parameters in 5 steps:
Log in to your Google Analytics account.
In the Manager (gear), open the relevant Service and Data Selection.
In the Data Selection Settings item, you will find the “Exclude parameters in URL” field.
Enter the parameters you want to exclude from the URL in the field, i.e. “fbclid” .
Separate multiple parameters with a comma

How to find out which parameters are stored in Google Analytics?
To find out what URLs with parameters you have stored in Google Analytics, the easiest way to get the answer is this:
Set a longer period, at least 3 months.
In the overview, select Behavior.
Select Site Content and All Pages.
Enter the question mark “?” in the search field.
You will get those URLs that contain parameters.
In our case, “?hsa_net” is displayed on the first lines.
For example like this:
GA settings
Who is behind such links?
You can also easily find out the source of these unwanted links.
Select the Landing Pages report
Add a secondary dimension: Source/medium
Search for Pages with the question mark “?”
In the example case, we found that the source is Adwords and Facebook, followed by email campaigns:

Other parameters
For inspiration, we have listed examples of parameters that have occurred and are occurring in the Google Analytics accounts we manage:
/translate_c?depth (?depth)
It may happen that you need to keep the information after the question mark. For example, for pagination (e.g. …?page=2) or for selected filters in the e-shop (e.g. …?color=red&site=L). Based on the URL information, you can then recognize which filters people use on the website and not remove these parameters from the statistics.
