How is testing done step by step?

Post by suchona.kani.z »

Create a friendly atmosphere – it is important that the tester feels comfortable and at ease. We have prepared a simple structure for how to proceed. But this is just a template. You do not have to follow it strictly.

Inform the tester how the test will proceed.
Welcome the tester, introduce everyone in the room. Instruct the tester on how the test will be conducted, and reassure them that they can't make any mistakes, you're not testing their website, but theirs. Ask them to think out loud .

"Hello, Mr. Novák, thank you for coming. Let me first introduce our team. My name is Jan Dvořák, I will be conducting today's test. These are my colleagues Michela and Dana, our graphic designers, who will be taking notes from the entire testing.

We will test the website muj-web.cz. Don't worry that you might make fantuan database any mistake. We are testing the site and any of your observations will help us. I will ask you to think out loud.

We have prepared a scenario and tasks for you, on which we will check how we can improve the website. If any task is not clear to you, do not hesitate to ask me anything at any time. The testing will take about an hour. Do you have any questions? Let's get started. Imagine this situation... (present the scenario to the tester.)

Testing your competition and your site
Follow the prepared scenario. The facilitator focuses primarily on the tester, while the others should carefully note down everything important.

During the test, it may happen that the tester is unable to complete a task . No matter the reason, if they are unable to find the right button, there is a mistake in the site design and you clearly know what to fix. In this case, politely thank the tester and move on to the next task. They still gave you valuable feedback.

Don't let testers complete tasks for too long; realistically, a user wouldn't spend half an hour searching for a contact form to arrange a meeting.
