How to lecture properly and not be afraid of the audience

Bobek came to demonstrate "How to
give a proper lecture and not be afraid of the audience" . Martin showed us exactly what a presentation should look like right away
, and then he started to acquaint the audience with the rules and recommendations that it is
good to follow during a presentation. The flaw in the beauty was that he himself
did not adhere to them, for example, he recommended us not to apologize to the audience, after which
he apologized for his voice weakened by a cold in the next slide. This was not the only thing
that Martin preached and which he subsequently did not adhere to, which unnecessarily damaged his
lecture. For most of the audience, the presentation was spoiled the most by the PowerPoint
presentation. It did not impress with anything, on the contrary, there was too much text on it and it took
too much attention. That was a shame, because Martin really knew how to give a proper
lecture. Minor mistakes didn't change anything, but when added to the weaker
presentation materials, the final result was somewhat contradictory.

The best in the end
Unfortunately, the best
doesn't apply in this case, Filip and I decided to go
back to Prague after the conference, and we missed the afterparty. According to the feedback from
the participants, it was a very interesting afterparty.

If I had to evaluate my first BarCamp ,
it would be all positives. The organization was handled perfectly, the speakers
showed that they more than deserve their space, and the audience
complemented them excellently with substantive questions. I myself probably did not expect that I would have so much fun the whole day
and draw so much inspiration from the lectures. I would definitely like to come and see
one of the other BarCamps, the next one will be held in Vsetín in January.
