The hardest to stop the machine?

Post by roseline371274 »

Moving on: Kyle manages to kill the T-800 for good, Grandpa and Sarah have lured the T-1000 here because there is a reserve of acid there and they use it to dissolve the crook, then everyone goes to an even deeper room to discover... a time machine!

"Well, shit!
" "That's right, Kyle Reese," Grandpa explains. "I had those plans in my files for some obscure reason, because it's well known that when you're already in the past and you can modify it, you still need a time machine, especially when you're a robot who has no need to return to his own time.
" "Ieee see.
" "But to make it work, we need a processor. None from this time can suffice. So we had to wait for Skynet to send another T-800 into the past to kill it and take its processor.
" "From a future that no longer exists.
" "That's it.
" "That's. Completely. Stupid."

And my little Kyle, you haven't seen anything yet. Sarah? Please?

“Kyle, with this machine, we can defeat Skynet! Definitely!
” “Oh, yeah?
” “Yes! Because with it, we’ll be able to go into the future… to 1997, to stop the beast!”

But yes, come on! While we're traveling through time, what if we lost 13 years of buy phone number list potential chances to stop Skynet and went straight to the moment when it would be
"  No  ," Kyle says, hinting at a flash of intelligence. He then immediately reassures the viewer that he's up to the task at hand.

“  We have to go to 2017.
” “Uh… why?
” “Because when I was sent back in time, I saw an infiltrated robot attack John Connor, your future son. And from that moment on, I had visions as the time travel began. I saw memories of a youth I never had. Although I was born in 2004, the world was still beautiful and peaceful. And I remember repeating a message to myself as a child: “Genisys is Skynet.” And that Genisys is a program launched in 2017.
” “Kyle!” Sarah yells. “No, we have to go to 97! It’s in Grandpa’s files! It’s the date of the apocalypse!
” “Kyle Reese is right,” Grandpa interjects. By going back in time to a time node, namely a critical event like John Connor, leader of the resistance, being assassinated, he got a glimpse of the new timeline. So, Skynet won't appear in 1997, but in 2017. There you go.

This time-knot thing makes no sense, but okay. And if not, why? What caused this 20-year gap? Any explanation? I don't know, it seems to be central to the film, so it might be vaguely important, right?

No. We don't care, it seems.

To think that it was just to create a pretext and make the rest of the film contemporary... I don't dare believe it. In any case, Sarah just nods her head. Well, okay. Let's go to 2017! One day before the launch of Skynet, just to rot ourselves, once again!

If that doesn't shock you, replace Skynet with a bomb.
