The above concept isn't familiar to most people. When I talk to friends, maybe 1% try to define it and they get something right. I haven't yet met anyone who knows what it is and profits from it in their life. I'm referring to an environment unrelated to MLM.
What is passive income? Work done once brings us profits for a long time, and I'd even say for life. An example of such work would be writing a book. We write it once, and it takes us a certain amount of time—a month, three years, six months, a year, etc. Once we finish it, we submit it to a publisher, and we reap the profits from the sale. We did the work once (we wrote a book), and now we're reaping the benefits.
Another example would be a regular bank deposit. Can we live off the interest on such a deposit? Absolutely, We'd have to save PLN 500,000 to receive a monthly payment of PLN 2,000 in interest. Can we earn half dataset a million? Of course. But how much time will that cost us?! 20 years? 30? Of course, it depends on our full-time job, which is NOT passive income.
Another example would be real estate. We own a property, and then we receive monthly rent.
Why isn't a full-time job passive income? Well, by working, we're selling our time. When we're employed, our employer pays us for giving them our free time. It's thanks to us that they earn money. When we take time off (meaning we're not working), we don't earn money. When we're sick, bedridden, or in the hospital, we don't earn money either.
Passive income is when, no matter what happens, you always receive a fee. You could say, "Whether you stand or lie down, you're entitled to a salary." This well-known saying is quite similar to passive income. Except that you can stand or lie down when you've done your job.
