Igor Kozlov, Vice President for Information Technology and Process Automation at PJSC Segezha Group, also has a positive attitude towards the creation of the ICC, since, in his opinion, the center will be able to reduce the costs of individual enterprises on import substitution of products that have left the Russian market.

Sergei Shtrakhov, head of the Department of Forestry for the Northwestern Federal District, on the contrary, believes that the ICC will become another platform for multiple meetings, which do not always lead to practical results. In his opinion, if the ICC appears, it should be headed by an organization that is already capable of making decisions and attracting experts - such as the forest research institute in Finland.

The head of the LESTECH association, Aleksandr Tambi, noted that business as a whole does not really need even those associations that already exist in the industry, so it is unclear on the basis of which organization the ICC should be created: "Business is doing too well. If you look at Rosstat statistics for previous years, the turnover of large lumber producers was 30 million rubles, after the decline - 29 million rubles. With all the geopolitical problems, a decline of only 1 million rubles is a good result."

Nikolay Gorodetsky, Director of Business System Development at JSC Sveza (a birch plywood manufacturer), fears that the ICC will turn into yet another association that is incapable of solving problems. "If the ICC is so necessary, then why has no one initiated its creation as part of the development of the FGIS," Nikolay Gorodetsky asks. He believes that before creating the ICC in the timber industry complex, it is necessary to look at the experience of other industries.
